BioCardioLab
Mission
BioCardioLab was founded in 2008 as a subunit of the Division of Adult Cardiology of the G. Monasterio Foundation. In 2015 it was officially included in the Bioengineering Division of the Foundation as an interdepartmental research laboratory.
BioCardioLab works in synergy with paediatric and adult clinical units.
The aim of the BioCardioLab is to introduce numerical simulation, new image-based methods and physical models in the clinical field to support the training and planning of surgical interventions. New Procedure image-based, it includes the intraoperative image fusion technique and web-based virtual and augmented reality tools.
