Reports with CD or DVD

The results of imaging examinations may be accompanied by a digital medium containing a selection of images or videos. In these cases, the patient is given a CD or DVD that can be viewed on a computer. Below are instructions for use and contacts for support.

Reading Patient CDs and DVDs
Using a Windows-based PC:

  1. insert the CD or DVD into your computer’s player or burner.
  2. wait for the software, contained in the CD or DVD, to start automatically, in order to show the images associated with the exam.
  3. use this programme to analyse the images.

If the display software does not start automatically, one of the two procedures listed below can be followed:

  • Start the display software.
Identify the executable file of the program, recognisable by the extension “.exe”, among the files contained in the CD or DVD. Click on the executable file in order to start the software.
  • Viewing the images using a browser.
You can use an ordinary web browser, such as Mozilla Firefox or Internet Explorer, to view a selection of images, in JPEG format, contained in the CD or DVD. To do this, locate the file named “MainPage.htm” on the CD or DVD and open it.

For PCs equipped with other operating systems such as MacOSX, Linux, Solaris, it is generally possible to use a web browser (Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer) as described in the procedure. When available, you can use viewing software specific to the operating system used.

CUP Memo Service

CUP-MEMO is a booking reminder service for patients who have booked visits and/or specialist examinations at the facility.

The services not used by patients who have cancelled will be made available for new appointments.

The CUP-MEMO service automatically sends an SMS reminder to clients having booked a specialist service and given the Unified Booking Centre operator his/her mobile number and consent to receive information related to his/her reservation at the time of booking.

How does the SMS service works?

  • You receive a first SMS at the time of booking and a second SMS normally three days before the scheduled appointment, indicating the date and place of the visit or diagnostic service to be performed.
  • You can cancel or change your booking by calling the phone number indicated or by connecting to the monasterio.it/en/cup link in the SMS where you can download the reminder and instructions for preparing for the exam in PDF format.
  • To access the site, simply enter the appointment number and its tax code.

If you plan to attend the appointment, you do not have to do anything: the appointment is considered confirmed if not cancelled.

The service covers all booked outpatient services, both those organised on an institutional basis and those carried out by private doctors working within a public institution, with the exception of PET-CT, scintigraphy and MRI (for these diagnostic investigations, a telephone call service is available one week before the examination).

Below is the content of the message sent at the time of booking:

You are reminded of the appointment no. 3661318 of 20-10-2020 at 10:30 am c/o the Monasterio Foundation, CNR Research Area, Pisa. To manage your booking, go to monasterio.it/cup or call 050-3153150:”
