Areas and units
The San Cataldo Hospital in Pisa was born out of the care and research experience of the CNR Institute of Clinical Physiology.
In this context, cardiology, respiratory medicine and cardiovascular risk assessment have always been integrated with the most advanced imaging techniques and laboratory medicine.
The activity is carried out on the basis of intensity of care, with six ICU beds and two sub-intensive care units with twelve beds, continuously monitored, for a total of 45 beds shared between the Cardiology and Cardiovascular Medicine Units and the Respiratory Medicine Unit, in collaboration with the Anaesthesia and Resuscitation Unit, the Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiology Unit, and the Interventional Electrophysiology Unit.
