Information about services
At the entrance of the Hospital there is an information point, open 24 hours a day, where you can receive general information about the services offered by the facility.
URP – Public Relations Office
It is a service aimed at improving the relationship between the citizen and the Foundation, providing information on the services offered. It offers a listening ear and help in the event of difficulties in accessing services or during the care pathway; it receives comments, suggestions, remarks and complaints in any form submitted by patients, their relatives or relatives-in-law, voluntary organisations or organisations for the protection of rights accredited by the appropriate region.

You can park in the designated spaces without any payment and for as long as necessary. Please note that vehicle access to the parking area is reserved exclusively for users of hospital services, suppliers and staff working there for the time strictly necessary.
Please park in the parking spaces provided, otherwise the vehicle may be forcibly removed at the owner’s expense.
The area is not guarded, therefore parking vehicles in the area does not entail the Hospital administration taking custody of them and it will not be liable for any theft or damage.
For the disabled, in the vicinity of the entrance, there are special parking spaces marked with yellow stripes and the appropriate symbol.
There are 2 bars at the San Cataldo Research Area, accepting payment in cash only:
- inside the Hospital Building, on the ground floor in front of the main entrance. Opening Hours: Monday / Friday from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm. Saturdays from 7:00 am to 1:00 pm.
- in the courtyard in front of the Hospital, communicating with the canteen. Opening Hours: Monday / Friday from 8.30 am to 4.30 pm. Closed on Saturdays.
Relatives of in-patients may use the canteen located in front of the hospital building, upon presentation to the canteen cashier of a form that is issued upon request by the ward coordinator or nursing staff. The complete meal costs about 5.16 Euro.
The canteen is open Monday to Friday from 12:00 pm to 2:30 pm.
At the entrance of the facility, near the concierge, there is a public telephone.
Guests can receive and make phone calls. In fact, there is a dedicated telephone line in each ward (see numbers below); the use of the cordless telephone can be requested from the nursing staff. So as not to interfere with care activities and rest time, please limit the receiving of telephone calls to the afternoon hours, and in any case no later than 10 pm.

In the San Cataldo Area there is Branch No. 3876 of Banca Nazionale del Lavoro next to the main entrance to the Area, opening hoursa:
Monday to Friday mornings from 8:25 am to 1:20 pm
afternoons from 2:30 pm to 4:00 pm
There are also 3 ATMs in operation:
- Banca Nazionale del Lavoro, at the entrance of the Bank
- Banca Nazionale del Lavoro, next to the entrance to the Hospital
- Cassa di Risparmio di Pisa, in front of the entrance of the Hospital.
If unable to walk, patients can contact the Head Nurse, or the secretarial staff who will organise the sending.
At the entrance of the G. Monasterio Foundation there is a newsstand.
Urban public services
The hospital is served by an urban line that connects it with the railway station (Pisa centre) and with the centre of Pisa: LAM Verde.

In the Hospital there is a Chapel, located on the first floor, where Mass is held on Saturdays at 5:00 pm.
Patients who wish to do so can ask for the sacrament of the anointing of the sick, through the ward staff.
Patients may seek spiritual assistance from ministers of other religions by addressing the request to the Head Nurse or the Public Relations Office.

The Fondazione Toscana Gabriele Monasterio (FTGM) offers its patients and guests the possibility to access, free of charge, high-speed Internet through its own Wi-Fi hotspot service.
How to use it
Each establishment of the Foundation provides a Wi-Fi network for guests.
To access the service, simply have a mobile device with Wi-Fi connection (tablet, notebook, smartphone) and, once connected to the network, register with your mobile number to the Foundation’s hot-spot service. Registration will allow you to access the Internet for a whole day.
The document detailing the procedure to be followed to obtain the connection is available at the concierges of the two facilities.
The activation and extension of the guest Wi-Fi service to the FTGM hospital facilities in Pisa and Massa represents an important step forward in the provision of cutting-edge technological services contained in the hospital’s development plan.
The offer of new value-added services is intended to improve “patients’ and guests’ lives”. The project, which is the natural continuation of the experimentation started about a year ago, was activated at zero cost thanks to the use of existing infrastructure and open source solutions.
All guests and, in particular, inpatients will be able to feel closer to their loved ones through the possibility of making video calls or using instant-messaging solutions that take advantage of Wi-Fi connectivity.
